Planning a Halloween Party can be as much fun
as the event itself. The keyword here is 'planning'. You can't
expect to have a good party without getting a good start on the
holiday by formulating a party plan. I'm talking about months, not
weeks!

next Halloween party.

think it's the opportunity to let their hair down for an evening, a
chance to once-again become that giddy little trick-or-treater. Why do you enjoy Halloween? What family traditions have you built
around this odd holiday? Tell us about your last party, the best costume and
recipes you want to share. We will publish the best here on

The
History of Halloween
Did you know Halloween was once called All Hallows Eve? Not
originally a costumed event of children and adults running through
neighborhoods gathering sweets and treats, All Hallows Eve was an
intimate family event to honor their dearly departed with a feast
and celebration. Of course there are more than one custom involved in
the current evolution of the Halloween holiday. Want to know more?

Where
to Buy Halloween Decorations?
I always love Targets Halloween collection. You can always find a
unique item to add to your decor. Last year, I went to Target
everyday for two weeks anxiously awaiting them to put out their
goods. Boy they moved slowly with just a few items out each day. At
least I was first and got what i considered to be the best of the
lot. When buying Halloween decorations, buy
quality. Think something that your kids will fondly remember.
Manufacturers recognize the disposable aspect of certain products
and cater to that market, knowing that you'll be back. Problem is,
many vendors make a product for only one or two years and then
discontinue it forever.
