Halloween Lighting Safety
Many of the Halloween lighting products are not made for outside
display, and extra care must be taken to protect the fixture if it
is being used outdoors. Just because it says indoor / outdoor does
not mean it can handle the elements very well. For Christmas style
lights with plastic covers, these are safe under eves, on porches and
around windows. For long black light bulbs you can find plastic
sleeves they can go in that offer minimal protection. (Home Depot).
Always make sure the electrical outlet you use is properly grounded
and avoid using extension cords where possible. Refer to products
owners manual or box before installing any fixture.
