Try to think about when your party is being held to determine how much and what kinds of foods to serve.

If your party is mid-day (daylight hours) you might want lighter refreshments, sweets of course and maybe a light sandwich or bowl of chili. Parties that are held in the evening usually begin later and tend to be finger foods if anything and lots and lots of sweets.
